I thought maybe folks doing these might see something to help them with their own.  Just ideas seen in pic.

I was scared to ask how much for each.   :P
ESR who specializes in CR250r and YZ250 engines just patented a new cr250 big bore piston/head design called the CEO which is a dished piston top and flat cylinder head. With  a matching pipe he claims it will revolutionize 2 stroke design.
I'm sure Rotax hotsaws will get some even competition from the Honda bikesaws if this pans out.

ESR is basically keeping the 1980's Honda CR250 engine alive by  building his own crankcases, cylinders and heads over the years. Along with continuing the development of these engines without the factory being involved.

Good thing I didn't buy those KTM 380sx cases, future looks good for Honda hotsaws.
But you gotta think where do you draw the line in power ....cold starting and whacking off three 20" pine cookies.......

Willard saws are not for sale now.

Here is what he shared when he bought them from Dennis.

250 was $4500 used/rebuilt
330 was $7300 with paint job, bar, practice chains, starter chords and all top end components

Thanks Kevin, it not cheap to buy a world class competitive hotsaw.
DC's  CR250 big bore suppliers ESR/LED are making the latest state of the art kits.
Up to 430cc and counting, fancier kits with balanced welded cranks are going into the $4K neighborhood.
Here's a couple of vids of Oct. 2018 Stihl Timbersports world champion Laurence O'Toole running a DC hotsaw.
