330 380 3750 3450 / 365 3500 3.7 tanks
« on: November 20, 2015, 01:11:52 pm »
I have been wondering.   Say you have the poulan 3500 pp365  3.7 saws with their 60cc top and small carb and intake.
I know all you have to do is open the tank hole up to use the bigger intake boot and bolt on bigger carb.  Also open the metal plate and gasket or use the 330 3450 etc hardware under carb.

Now what I wonder if you could just use a 330 3450 3750 380 tank already set up for bigger intake without having to open up your older 365 3500 3.7 tank.  The newer 3450 etc tanks just look like they need the 2 bolts undone that hold the air filer and cover on. Then use the older 365 set up.

Anyone tried this or noticed a physical design difference in the 2 tanks as 330 etc tank being wider?

I have a 3450 black tank and the rebuilt PP365 left.  When I get caught up I may look closer as I am just curious and has been on my mind for a long long time.

Not hard IMO.    Be careful with the boot pushing out.
