In the old days 60 yrs ago they would have probably used "Indian Head" Shellac.

But being in charge of a shellac production for a few years at the GE plant where I worked. It was made from shellac flakes, rosin, and denatured ethyl alcohol.

So guess what, gasohol will desolve Indian Head Shellac
We should share what we know... someone may learn...
That knowledge can live after us... and that "Pays It Forward".
