Had a chance to run the saw a bit today, dropping and bucking a small dead ash and noodling some knotty oak rounds.  At first I was having trouble tuning it, until I realized that the fuel line had taken a set where it passes through the hole in the case/tank - it had shrunk and lost the seal.  So when I filled the tank fuel would spill out into the carb area and eventually soak the filter.  Anyway I fixed that and it ran great.

Until the rear A/V spring broke.  :o The break was a classic cyclic/fatigue failure where you can see the polished area on the crack as it propagated, until the remaining material was too small and broke.  Like I said - lots of vibration!

I had a spare so it was back in business pretty fast and I'm quite happy with how it's running.  But I would never take this saw out very far without backup!
