i think i found the perfect paper to use :) i found a small pack of plastic stick-on window screen repair. the paper is .023. i can crush it down to .018 if i push hard on the caliper's anvil. not a perfect test but it has been "accurate" for me in the past doing this. i'll throw it on and see what the squish is, then decide if i want to use it or not. :)
