i had some huskies here i wanted to throw across the shop. stihls aswell. >:(
never been a issue with a poulan. :)
could be the looser tolerances that help them survive longer ;D i know the maitinance guys at the plant say they notice this on the pumps and motors. looser = longer.
i have no idea why husky and stihl feel the need for a bearing to be held so tightly you need to damn near split the seats pressing them into place.
heck i consider partners to be one of the top quality machined products out there (for their time and even to todays standards) and they never give me fits putting the bearings in.
when I grow up, i wanna be an adult.
