Oh another craftsman 3.3 black sears best I hope to get real soon. Pics below.

2 Sundays in a row haven't been able to pick this one up. Talked to owner last Sunday and no answer this Sunday to call text email. Oh well no biggie here.

UPDATE.   Had talked to the guy after missing that last Sunday meeting.  He had forgot and was hauling wood and ran late.  Again no biggie.
The next Sunday I remembered I was going to be at Eldora for the weekend.  He stated he would hold saw and it was mine.

Well today with both met halfway between where we live. 45mins 1 way  each way for both and return trips.

Bought it just for the parts but going to see if I can make it a runner.  He stated he couldnt get it to start.

Plastics and air filter all look new still. Just surface rust on bolt heads, muffler etc.

Even came with a 20" oregon set up.

Just picked this up today after a drive in Ohio. My 3rd 54cc of this model craftsman 3.3 with chrome bore.

Bought it for parts. But bet I get it running. Last guy couldnt get it started.

Good thing the air filter was doing its job.
Pics as it was handed to me.

Under clutch cover looked like new.  Under cylinder cover looked like new. Everything looked like new.
Could tell fuel line, tank vent, impulse line had been replaced at one time.
Dumped fuel out of it and got a bad feeling when I seen what looked like straight gas.
Pulled muffler and the heat shield etc was still like new.
Buttttttt one side of of piston had started to score and stuck ring. New that straight looking gas coming out was going to be bad. Oh well.
Dont look like straight gas score from what I saw though.
Wont rebuild for now just glad to have all these like new parts for time being.

Has the harder to find pulley etc just to start with thick recoil.

Moved back to bench #1 today. Going to pull cylinder soon and see how much cleaning the cylinder will need.  Prob a piston kit for sure.

I so could clean this piston up in this saw.   Will clean cylinder up and use the piston in another saw for myself.

I took pics comparing the 3.3 cylinder which is the poulan 335 predator cylinder and thinking poulan pro 336 cylinder.  All pistons the same from what I can tell. Different numbers molded inside though.

Also took pics of a poulan pro 330 cylinder and piston to compare. Same as 3450.  To show comparison like the 336 thread.

more pics 3.3 330 etc

After cleaning by hand then ball hone to put crosshatch .

Piston installed. Saw was about as new as you could get. Not even carbon anywhere inside. Just little on top of old piston etc. None in ext outlet.
All new lines with oem black echo 3x5 and 3x6. Fuel, impulse, tank vent.

Break time. Button up later.
