Some great info by Tim =  Tim Roberts
The National seals are .001" larger OD than the SKF seals which can be difficult to install. Make sure you build up the area where the step on the crankshaft is on the PTO side or you may turn the seal inside out. I use a piece of 1/2" copper plumbing tube slipped over the crankshaft. The bearings are easy to install but a pain to adjust. They control the crankshaft side play which should be around .010 to .015". You should know that radial play on those drawn cup needle bearings is .005" to .006". They are pretty sloppy. Up / Down play at that value is very easy to feel. It doesn't seem to hurt anything and they rarely wear out.

Doing some 3400 3.7 carbs.  Got a laugh on the red 3.7 one. How you know when it still has original carb kit in it.  😋

Someone has ask about fulcrum height

Just because diaphragms look good don’t mean squat. I had pulled this carb awhile back to clean the fines out from past owner putting fuel filter on wrong line.
Dias felt and looked great. Would run and idle all day. Till you put in wood. It would run out of mix in the cut. New kit in and it don’t do that anymore.

Here is one I a finally getting ready to let go. It was sold as a craftsman 3.0 with 18”.
But is really a craftsman 3.4 poulan 3400 56cc.
Has new fuel and tank vent lines oem echo used. New duckbill. New carb kit. New crank seals.  Finally last piece the dang air filter.
I hide a couple from myself for awhile now.
I ended up putting a 16” set in place of the worn out 18”.
Look at the 358# and you can see how Sears listed this on front cover of manual as a 3.0.
Another air filter I was trying to find turned up too.  🤦‍♂️
