Flywheel Id.
« on: February 05, 2018, 07:21:12 pm »
I got these flywheels mixed up. They are from a PP4620 a Craftsman 358.350203 and a 40cc poulan that all was on it was Super Clean on the starter cover, it has the blue tube feeding air to carb.

In the picture the straight finned is three magnet and the curve fin is two magnet, have two of them

The flywheels are the same size even though they don't look like it in the picture

I'm building two saws from the parts, Craftsman is running now

Thanks
DJ

I have a 4620 out in the garage.   If I get a chance I will look tomorrow at the flywheel.

I am thinking it will be the one on the left in your pictures that you posted.

That's the one I put on the craftsman and it runs but I was wondering if the straight fin was for the super clean that had the blue tube.

I mixed these up a few months back and my memory is no good a few minutes back and getting worse.

Thanks

I couldn't find it either and it is a 3 magnet, the right one is 2 magnet. I figured they would use different coils with more or less magnets and they got to be a reason for the straight fins.

The only number on the right one is 20370-01-PW

I read some where one time about the 2 and 3 magnet flywheel but don't remember what are where I read it

So I looked and like Cut4fun pointed out the flywheel with the curved fins is the one for the PP4620.

Thanks for looking, I guess I got the craftsman right, I run two tanks of gas through it a little bit ago and it seemed ok, I used a curved fin 3 magnet on it, I did find a straight fin on ebay and it said it fit a PP255. This stuff could've been mixed up parts and thrown together before I got it and all three saws were giving to me, just something to do, sure are a lot of different Poulans though.

Thanks Again for the help
