I have TROUBLE getting my carb jobs to fire back up ?

Like in the title.....I suffer trying to get these units to pop off after doing a carb job.... my carb jobs are not shade tree by any means.... I just can't put my finger on some units ? ...One unit I had to back off the low needle to almost 2- 1/2 rounds to pop off and once it was all said and done....the low was back to 1 or so and the saw ran great... I am missing something on the Poulan saws ? The last few were PP220,Pp260,2025.

Is the replacement inlet spring heavier than stock

No...the Walbro kit's do not have the spring...so..I use the original...if I ever drop one ...I will get a OEM walbro spring based on the stencil number ?

I just prime the carbs sometimes to get them going.    It just takes to much pulling on the rope.

I,m kinda lost now...can you tell me how to prime the carb before a pretty much dry start ?

I use a syringe with fuel in it and squirt a little straight into the carb.   I hold it at WOT and then pull the rope.
The few seconds the engine runs at high RPM's has a lot more pumping action on the diaphragm in the carb than I can achieve by yanking on the rope.   I may have to do this a couple of times and then it will work on its own.

Well...I don't have a medical syringe ...but use a very small sqeuzze bottle of gun oil, no gun oil left of course.... filled with high octane non-eth fuel mix...but hey....the syringe might do the trick !....and yes...my old neck and shoulder is only good for about 5 quick jerks ! The machines that give me that trouble ARE getting fuel to the plug....compression always checkwith gauge...spark check with inline tester...I think I,m going to just by a NEW carb for one of them to just say I did ?

A new carb will be dry just like the ones you rebuild, so the process will be the same. I have been known to soak the new carburetor diaphragms and gaskets in a kitty food can with some pre mix in it. I put the new parts in the fuel when I start to take the carb apart and by the time I an ready to reassemble the carb the new parts are nice and soft. Try it, it works for me more often than not.

Eye droppers work well for priming as well.

I use a oil squirt can filled with mix to prime.  Have 3 marked, gas mix, alky, oil for spinning.  ;)
