Cut4Fun,

Thank you for sharing this site with me.  I have noticed a few familiar names from AS.  As such, I know I am in good company.  I hope to learn alot.  I do not have a camera to supply a photo of my Poulan Pro 4218AVX. I have recently rebuilted the 4218AVX with much help from Mike Sullivan who is also a member here as well as on AS.

To all the other members I hope to meet you and look forward to sharing what I can about the little I know about chainsaws.  However, I am very interested in learning about saws. I have a questions for Poulan chainsaw owners, does a muffler modification place less stress on a saw?  What are the benefits/drawbacks of a muffler modification to a chainsaw?  Thanks, Islero  :)

Welcome.

IMO the muffler mod aids in a cooler running saw with more power and quicker cuts if done right. Dont forget to readjust your H side on carb richer and adjust L and Idle if needed after muffler mod.

What saw are you asking about?  Pics of muffler etc?
