Parts request

I had a call today looking for a bar for a Poulan Pro 665. Is that a valid number or did his customer blow it? His customer claims he is running .404 on a 28" bar, somehow I doubt it. I could not find anything on the Oregon site.

If it is actually a PoulanPro 655, then that saw will run a 28" bar wearing .404 very well.  They are an extremely strong 98cc saw.  Last evolution of the Pioneer P-60.  It will take an Oregon D007, D096, or D196 bar.

The saw pictured in the above listing is a PP525.  Same basic saw, but 82cc rather than 98cc.  The 655 also has a manual oiler pump up in the top handlebar bracket.

This 655 is the biggest one Acres lists in the Poulan Pro series

And .404 was an option

I've ran a PP655BP.  It definitely has the stones to pull .404-7 on a 28" bar.  It'd do the same with a 36" b/c.....

There's a guy in town has one that's very nice looking but it is a shelf queen because it is so big and powerful.

It is a beautiful and impressive saw.

A 655 isn't much bigger or heavier than an MS660 or 395XP.  The full-wrap handlebar on these make the saw look bigger.  They'll embarrass a stock 395XP or MS660 too.  Very impressive indeed.  A PP-655 is on my 'must have' list...
