When putting the topend on the #1 505 yesterday I noticed that one had a outer  plate. It wasnt the style shown in IPL or feebay pic with hole in cetner for screw to hold onto clutch cover. Just slides on after bar and then clutch cover.
If it is oem I can see how they could have come up missing over the years.
