Poulan 2100
« on: March 07, 2011, 08:22:30 pm »
I picked up a 33cc rear handled version of the poulan top handle 2000. As soon as it warms up I am going to look it over.
On quick looks see when buying it, seemed to need a carb kit and maybe oiler system looked at.

What I liked about it was the light weight rear handle 7.8lbs dry weight PHO listed. Might be a hair more, you know how specs are.

Then what sold me on buying it was the AV coil springs.  ;D

2100 poulan lives and vibration free with the coil spring AV in the cut.    8) 8)  Put my 12" b+c I have always used on the 2000.
Will make a nice trim saw for my uses or I will offer it to my dad because I know for fact it will be easier on his 70+ year old hands then the 2000 I gave him for a trim saw.

Just picked up the Poulan Pro 236 yellow version  :D. Mainly for my back up parts, but will see if I can make it a running trim saw first.

ms460woodchuck the poulan 2100 was giving me a fit yesterday. So i dumped the fuel etc out and the fuel filter had come of the fuel line. When I cut the fuel line to replace filter it just split and feels crumbly.

So the saw will be given to your son not running now (just needing fuel line replaced). Good little father son project that will be easy. I'm just to busy right now to take the time out for the fix.

Fuel line runs through a spring on the back of air filter area then to the tank  on top rear.

Is the 2100 a bare bore like the 2000 and is the 236 a chrome bore.

I have 205 here which is just like a 2000 but it is 38cc and has a chrome bore.   I will take a picture and post it soon now that I have a camera again.
