Oh, and yes they are just a bit heavy and wide, but they're sturdy, well balanced and make good power with just an easy muffler mod.  The A/V springs don't break so easily like the 295's, and they have big flywheel fans that cool well.  The foam air filters work extremely well - I never get anything in the carb.  They've also got large fuel and oil tanks with big fill caps.  For home firewood duty they are excellent saws.

Feedback from new owner cutting with for 3 days over the weekend Fr-Sun.  Said it worked flawless and got what he needs to be done, done.

I was little worried about new owner using for first time though.

I went through it all.

Sold  used 220  and went through A-Z with the new owner.  I even topped the tank off and oil off. Gave a 1 gal mix for 40:1. When through start up, cold, hot, fast idle. Chain brake operation. Chain adjusting, chain and bar on'off.  How to sharpen chain. Dont cut through into dirt etc etc.
I adjusted carb and told them if unsure when they run their mix bring back and I will adjust for them.

Did it seem to much like a job to ya?
I bet if you just did side work like I do you could still keep the $ coming in for the extra wants.
Word of mouth of good honest work at 1/3 the cost spreads pretty quickly.

The main reason I quit was they just did not want to pay me what I was worth and I have become much more busy since I moved out here.    You are correct about doing work on the side I already turn a lot of it away because I was too busy.    Maybe I will do a little side work.    We will see.

I was figuring it was being tied down to certain hours after retiring.
Thats what I like about doing it on the side. I pretty much pick and choose when I feel like doing the work. Also pick and choose if I dont want to work on a total pos. ;)

Wow this poulan 220 goes back. It is the saw in 1st post.  Just came in for work.

The new owner I traded it to back then uses it for his loaner saw. After 2 loans back to back it wasnt running right.  My 1st guess was right. Fuel line time. He got lucky IMO.

He had gotten a poulan 3750 PP305 and PP220 off me back then.
