Poulan 25
« on: February 09, 2019, 12:17:17 pm »
Any of you folks collect the top handles? This is a first 2 years built 25 with manual oiler only. 1971-1972 Also has the stack muffler. If you need a first year saw that started it all for poulan. Then they cam out with S25 S25DA etc.
I only picked it up to get into the right folks hands. I have no interest in repairing it. Past owner dropped it and broke tank. He said it ran till that. I have no clue on that.
See decal on recoil to see the difference from the later ones.

Ad I had on it on chainsaw repair group.  Any of you folks collect the top handles? This is a first 2 years built 25 with manual oiler only. 1971-1972 Also has the stack muffler. If you need a first year saw that started it all for poulan. Then they cam out with S25 S25DA etc.

I have $10 in the PHO. So thats all I want back. Just the PH and it needs tank and I have never looked into it any further. It is a as is deal. I have no clue about it. Notice the stack muffler. So your not buying for muffler. Like said it is a first 2 years Poulan 25D manual oil saw.

SOLD to a collector. Was hoping someone would fix it up for that.

Some info by Tim aka fossil

There are 4 crankshafts for the S25 models

Two for the points saws and two for the solid state model depending whether they are S25DA or S25CVA saws

There has been a lot of discussion about all the brands of the "Easter Egg" saws.
I don't know about all the brands that the Skil/Skilsaw and TML's Frontier chainsaws were branded.
The Poulan Micro series (1.8/2.0/2.3 ci in NAV, AV, CVA & PS versions) was produced in at least the following brands: Agresi, AL-KO, Benchmark, Bernard Moteur, Cast Magnum, Cutter's Choice, Dayton, EMEL, Hobby, Husqvarna, Jobu, John Deere, Jonsered, Katex, Mastercraft, Matracom, Nauder, Nogamatic, Nordiec, Partner, Poulan, Poulan Pro, Ridgid, Rocher, Sears (Craftsman), Simpson-Sears, Skil, Treemaster, Tronk, Wizard, Wood-Eater, and Wright.
The Poulan Model 20 (XX) series were produced in at least the following brands: Briban, Dayton, Odiset, Poulan, Poulan 76, Ridgid, Sears (Craftsman), Simpson-Sears, Wright
The Poulan Model 25 series (25DA, S25 in NAV, CVA & PS) were produced in at least the following brands: Agrest, Allis-Chalmers, Bernard Moteur, Briban, Dayton, EMEL, Hobby, Jobu, Katex, Landoni, Nogamatic, Odiset, Penncraft, Poulan, Poulan Pro, Ridgid, Rocher, Sears (Craftsman), Simpson-Sears, Skil, Tronk, White Motor, Wizard, Wright

These are all that I have records for, but I am pretty certain that there were others.
