Poulan 2775

Is this the green version of the poulan pro 295  or PP4620 ?    What motors from other saws  will work in these?

We're the PP 295's made prior to the 4620's and if so then when was your saw made?    If it is older then maybe it is closer to a 295.   It looks like a green 295 from the outside, other then that I can't tell.

the only difference between the 295 and 4620 is the sticker on the pull start :) and the 2775 was green.
from what i gather from the way they were released, the 2775, then the pp295 and then the 4620 was the final round (up here anyway). some areas the 2775 and the pp295 were released and sold at the same time depending on what the company would sell in any given area.

I believe the 4620 has a different coil mounting from the 295 and the later 4620's came with that funky bar adjuster that the 295 never had from what I have seen.

if you get the 4620 avxhd you get the regular clutch cover and non easy start.
there should be zero difference between the 295 and 4620 when it comes to the mounting location of any parts. they are the same chassis. poulan only changed some numbers around to reflect what the saw was. 46cc, 20" bar/chain. the 295 at the time was available with 16"- 20", 3/8lp or .325 bar/chain depending on where you bought it.
but of course, i'm in canada and it could be different here from there. but i've had literaly hundreds of these across my bench, and there had been no difference between one to the other except for condition.

Poulan Pro went from the 295 to the 4620. Main difference is a different coil and flywheel. The 295 was a 3 magnet flywheel, the 4620 is a 2 magnet. The AVX adjustment is for those who want to cut a broken apple tree limb once a year. They just will not stay tight. These saws will jump a chain in a heartbeat. I actually have (6) 35 gal. barrels of new chains that jumped off and got burred before ever sawing wood. Parts will interchange on the Poulan 2750, 2775, 2900 and P.Pro 295, 315, and 4620. They are basically the same. The 295, 315, 2775, and 4620 have the chrome plate. The older of these saws with the black muffler were some good saws. It was originally built as a Partner.

that clears that up. it just goes to show i need to pay more attention to small details. never had to frag with the electronics as they are a very reliable part on a relaible little saw. but one thing i see is he says the 4620 has the chrome plate, i'm assuming he means the cylinder. however the 4620's up here i've seen have all been chromed piston. same for any of the pp295's. also, the avx doesn't denote the toolless chain tension. i can't remember off hand the letters and numbers they use, however if you were buying the avx-hd ( i remember that one  ;) ), the saw was supplied with the regular 2 bar nut clutch cover. but again, i've seen discrepancies between the canadian and u.s. markets to say anything is set in stone. poulan takes this to a new level when it comes to switching things up and around.

now to muddy the waters even more, the last 4620 avx i bought had 3/8"lp/16" bar/chain combo on it. and was a chromed bore engine. tsc store had a big summer sale on them a little over a year ago, $129 if i remember right with a case, extra chain and a couple small things of oil. it did have the easy start crap on it which i changed out. sold it about 2 months ago for $100bux to an older gentleman up the road. hey! he made me the offer :) he wanted to trade me his stihl 021. i said no thankyou.
