Well don't put such a big hole in the thing that it won't idle short of blowing black smoke like it were burning soft coal .

I'm not sure if I've worked on that praticular model except to tune one .However if it has that typical steel insert around the exhaust port ,you can remove that thing and smooth out the port which will be about enough width .Don't raise it up because it needs all the grunt it can get .
