3300 335 54cc will go onto the 3000 305 49cc and other smaller cc in series. 

3400 3700 3800 4000 same series.  If wrong correct me. Not ones I am into.

You are correct.    The 3400 and 3800 have the chrome plating on the piston and are used with the bare aluminum cylinders.
You can also throw the 375 and 395 in there also.

What you can do is put a 3700 cylinder and piston on a 3400.    Then you will have a 60cc saw with a little better compression.    These are easy saws to work on and with some mild mods can be made to run pretty good.
