Interesting.  I've never actually seen a PoulanPro 310/315 or Poulan 3050.  Those three are larger bore than the 295/2900/4620 saws.  49cc IIRC.  There was a piston for those on feebay recently.  According to the IPL, the 3050 had a comp release and its own cylinder (but shared a piston with the other two saws).  I gather the 295/4620/2900 saws for swapping their engines into Husky 36-141 saws.

Would be cool to make a 49cc 36, but would also be a real shame to part out a unique saw like that 50th anniversary 315.  It looks to be in nice shape under all the grime.  I hope the engine isn't roached, as the P/C aren't available for them anymore (unlike with the 2900/295/4620).  If it is roached than swapping in an engine from a 46cc version would be the way to go to get it running again.  I'm curious as to whether the 49cc version really has noticeably more power than the 46cc versions....

:o 8)   learned way more then I was expecting on that. Didnt even know they had a 49cc clamshell saw in that series.

Looking at the pics owner from TN and pics on Chainsaw Collectors.  Dont see a decomp.

LOL.

I've been researching that series since I started messing with them.  I don't think they made many of the 310/315/3050 saws.  I suspect that either the 49cc engine didn't work out so well, or they just didn't sell for some reason.  I've only seen pics of a few parts taken from these saws on ebay.  Among them have been top covers.  They've always had the handguard.........meaning that the saws were non-chainbrake versions.  That makes them older models.  This 50th anniversary saw is the first of the 49cc saws that I've seen with a CB (as well as being the first complete 49cc saw I've seen a pic of).  The decomp only shows up in the 3050 IPL, so I suspect it was eliminated early on.

TWO for sale now?  I've only seen the one.  Would like to pick up one of the 49cc versions for some experimentation.  Don't really want to 'ruin' a 50th anniversary saw however.  Bill's 310 is the first one I've seen.  I have never seen a complete 3050.  Have seen listings for parts taken from parted out 3050's on ebay.

I have not seen a 310 or 315 before.    The 310 looks a lot like a 295.
