Real close  IMO 335  better set up. My dad has a 3300 he bought new in mid 80's and still going strong. So alum bore isnt bad either.

3300 alum bore and chrome piston and thick rings

335  chrome bore and alum piston and thin rings

I myself have never owned a 3300  because they have the aluminium cylinder and went for the 335 instead.  I am really liking this last one that I modified.  I may have to do another of the ones I have.

So today I had ordered a 8 pin rim and put it on the 335.   I have a 15" round of elm the neighbor gave me for some practice wood that has been dried out for years.   Very solid and medium hard wood for tuning.

I have to say I was wondering if the saw was going to bog down but it pulled really well.   This little saw just keeps getting better and better.

8T 325 ?

8T 325 rim would be about same size as the 7T 3/8 rim. It should pull that with no problems IMO.

I run 3/8 7 on the 3300 3000 305 335 330 etc when I have the bars to do so. Right now the grey 3000 3300 are using 325 because I dont have the extra bars to go around for them all.

Well these saws come with .325 7 pin sprockets and with a 20" bar.   I just was not sure how it would do and wanted to check it out.  I am glad you confirm what I found.    Yes 8 pin .325

I recently aquired another 335 except this one is a predator 335 that is in the red color.   I also found some other items that are different about the predator from the standard PP 335.   The piston, ring, and cylinder are all from a type I 3450.   I have the IPL's for both saws and they are a match.

So now I am thinking, will the 3750 piston and cylinder fit on the predator 335.   I personly at this time do not see why not.

I have not taken the saw apart yet but will and if anything else comes up that is different I will post about it.

Check the ipl's for the boot and carb cross reference also?

I almost pulled the trigger on that one.  I made 1 offer.  ;)   News to me on the Pred 335 using 3450 stuff.

What about that one guy that has that nice one?
