Ok I checked the IPL for the predator 335 intake boot and it is the same as for a standard PP 335.   So even though the use a 3450 cylinder on the predator 335 the carb and intake is the same as a standard PP 335.

PP 505, 475, 445.

You sure it's a 3450 and not a 3300 cylinder?

Yes I made an offer on that saw and he accepted it.

When I looked at the IPL's for the 335 predator and 3450 the cylinders were a match so I assume that it is the same cylinder.    I removed the muffler but forgot to look at the transfers, but the piston and cylinder did look good so I am happy about that.

There was a guy that once threw up to me that there are companies that will have a ipl list of parts with numbers on them, that will work, but those parts are not what the chainsaw was built with. We were talking about a Dolmar 111 made from the late 80's until about 2004.

For example - the original cylinder is open port and the replacement is closed port?

So if you come across this, don't be surprised for Poulan was great for making a lot of variations of what started out in the same frame.

Well I guess one way to tell for sure is to pull the cylinder off and look at it.

I do know that I have already pulled the muffler and the piston is only one thick ring just like a 3450 and that is the reason I looked it up to start with.

I took the cylinder off of the 335 predator today.   The piston is the same as a 3450 piston but the cylinder is chromed with only two wide transfers.   Unlike the 3450 which is quad transfers.
