Poulan 3750 badboy 380 60cc
« on: March 04, 2011, 01:28:06 pm »
This one is a  Bad Boy Tim Allen edition. This is the 2nd 3750 I have had, but this is the first  TA edition on it.  1st one had a different style muffler, without the front deflector like this one does.

These saws run right with the stock 262xp's I had in the past and I tested one back to back with this one. 3750 was right on the heels in cut and 3750 feels to have just a slight torque disadvantage.

While out cutting firewood and switching from 262 and 3750 back and forth with another cutter, both of use using the saws preferred the 3750 feel and handling in our hands.

Poulan made as far as I can tell.  basically a poulan pro 330 54cc with a big bore oem topend making it 60cc. open port cylinders.

MM might have more info on this poulan.

I cant answer that one, never been in a 365 poulan.

I do know the crankshafts are made in Sweden on them and the 60cc top end is made in Italy (girnolida) (cant remember the spelling, anyone ?) cylinder and piston kit.

I'm not completely sure if you could say that, they share the same piston but the cyl part # is different. Might be ported different or something else.

I know its the same as the Super 380. I also know the 3750/380 run a larger carb the the PP365. The 330 also runs the bigger carb.

I know my 330 will give my 365 a run for its money and I have a HDA 137 here to try on my 365 if I ever get around to it.

Its not surprising that a unbiased user would prefer the feel of the 3750 over the 262 either. I really enjoy this series of Poulan saws, they just feel right and have the best control layouts. A stock 262 won't put much morre wood in the truck either.

The first 3750 I had. It also placed at a chainsaw race at the fairgrounds here in ohio in the 0-65cc class. The Dolmar 6400's  took the places in front of me from what I recall

1st one had just a hand guard and 2nd one has a chain brake.

I have been trying to get my early edition 3750 BadBoy 60cc back from a firewood cutter I traded it to a few years ago. He wont come off the saw when even offered bigger cc saws on trade  :'(

So I went looking for another early edition with hand guard instead of chain brake like my other later edition one.

Well  I stumbled across one on it's last day that had been run with a bow bar  ???

So how many of you poulan guys had bid me up on this one.

I seen it but didnt bid. I forgot too.  ::)

I forget what it ended up at but I think you did ok on it. I would kinda like to have one as well.

I have no doubt they run well.

Speaking of running well, I got a chance to look at that hot rod little PP330 that Randy sent to me to take to the Poulan GTG.

It was giving trouble when we tried it later in the bigger wood and wouldnt hold a tune.

Found it had a mushy impulse line. I checked the carb but didnt really find anything out of wack. I put a new impulse on it and decided that the original muffler deflector wasnt big enough so added a second cut in deflector on the other side.

Man does it run good now! Night and day difference. I was by myself and had no stop watch but man was it hauling through a 18" piece of oak. I got my ported 262XP out and I swear the 330 was running right with it and might even be ahead of it.

Its on its way back to Randy now and hopefully he will make a video of it. Man its loud now as well!!!
