PP3450, PP330 Ehaust Insert

Been on the Poulan hunt got a Real nice PP330, 365, 380, 2-3450's (work saws).  Can or do you leave out the steel insert in the exhaust port?

When I have one down to that point I leave them out.  Just because I cant see no real dang reason for them.

Cool!  I left one in on the more used 3450 mainly because it was stuck real good.  I tried to get it out but didn't try too hard.
