Sweet......................

I like the shorter dawg you put on there too. Have no clue what they were thinking with the other ones.

The theory that has been posed before is that it was a way for Poulan to fit these saws with a longer bar (22") for marketing purposes, without taxing the saw too much (effectively it's more like a 20" bar with those stupidly long spikes).  I replaced the dumbo spikes on my PP330 with the shorter ones from an earlier saw in the series.  Sold the saw with those spikes..............and still have the dumbos sitting in a parts box somewhere.

Look what I found.   Brand new for 4.97.     It is getting prettier.

Yep.  For some reason the black tops are around $7 (still cheap) and the purple tops are $5.  Not sure why the purples are cheaper.  You'd think that they'd be more expensive, as they were produced in smaller numbers.  Oh well....

I was very surprised to find a cylinder cover for 5 bucks and that it was still available.

I've used some of cut4fun's 3750's and they are a very respectable 60cc chainsaw. I had a Poulan 3500  60cc for some 15 years and liked it very well but then I found that his 3570's were a significant power improvement over the 3500 at basically the same size and weight.

You are right the 3750's run pretty good stock so you can imagine how this would run with about .030" removed from the cylinder base and then with the intake and exhaust port widened up and the exhaust matched to the muffler and the muffler also was opened up.   The saw still needs to break in so it will just get better.

Here is a vid of the 3750.  I also checked the compression and got 160 psi which should get better as the saw breaks in.

Carrying good rpm in the cut.

When I got the saw it had a 3/8ths 8 pin rim, I did know if Kevin put that on there but I left it on and it seems to handle it ok.
