Would that chainbrake fit a 4000? I usually don't keep saws without chain brakes but if one was retrofitable, I may hang onto one of the CounterVibes. I know some of them had brakes up in Canada, never saw a CounterVibe here in the USA that had one. I'm sure they exist, I've never encountered one myself however.

Yes a clutch cover with a chain brake from a PP395 will fit on a 4000, but they are hard to find but not impossible.

Has anyone got the measurement of thickness of the 4000 thin rings? in mm or "

If not I'll try and do it later.

Here is what I came up with for the poulan 4000 thin rings in pic above.

.022"    or 0.55mm

I measured the ones I have and came up with .023" and .55mm.  So I would say they are the same just depends on how much pressure you put on the dial indicator.  I used two different indicators for inches and millimeters.

Bump for Aaron

The following table gives specifications for The United States Mint legal tender coins presently in production for United States Mint Annual Sets.

http://www.usmint.gov/about_the_mint/?action=coin_specifications

Getting cornfused.   ??? Then I read this.  To maintain a standard weight and alloy, the diameter of most coins was reduced. In particular, the dime was reduced in diameter from 18.8 to 18.5 millimeters.

I was wrong for the link says that a dime is 53 thousandths thick.
