Looks like a winner.   Have you had a chance yet to cut any wood with it?

Just test cuts on Apr 25th. Never had time to get back to it to see how much further the green coil will let me go. She was still fat at 12.2k and not showing any signs of rev limited.

Maybe further up like 13.5k.  Will update when I find out.

Made some cuts after removing the broken part of hand brake and installing another brake handle I had on hand.

I messed with the tune being it had a green coil that are suppose to be rev-limited. I started at 10k and went up to a still fat 12.2k to where she would clear up in the cut. Weird thing some of the other green coils 475 were rev-limited it seemed around 10k. Cant remember on 505 green ones.
Anyhow this green coil shows no signs of being rev-limited.  I will take it around 14k later to see for sure.  ;)

Few more.

Marks info on 7900 with heated handles.  Here is a 7900 heated handle saw fresh out of the box. Brand spanking new, no dirt!
My scale is reading 14.9 lbs and  non heated handle is 14 lbs 10.2 OZ which coverts to 14.64 lbs.

PP 305 thrown in just to save info.

I will be interested in seeing how the chain brake connects back up.   Looking good so far.

I have a idea of what I want to do and even ready to do the threads. I'm just unsure if that part step2 would actually hold on to step1.  :-\

Could just leave it and touch up paint being many saws just used one side for brake handles. Heck I very seldom use brake unless I uh-oh'ed up.  :o

How about a small aluminium spacer to fit between the handle and the repair area with a bolt all the way through.
