Tim aka fossil ran Roger's  aka 3000fps. Sounds like he was impressed with the poulan pro 445 70.7cc too.

fossil = Roger's Poulan 445 blew my socks off. The most powerful 70cc I've seen and bone stock to boot.

Now all you folks just step the heck back now and forget all about this.  ;) ;D :D
I did see a poulan 445 sell on a BIN for $170 in Indiana end of June  and $20 shipping. Under $200.   :o

I was pretty happy with the 445 myself.   I am used to running it at 6000 ft above sea level and getting it down to sea level was a big difference.    Heck I still have the spark arrestor in the muffler.  That was also the first time I had a chance to run it in red oak.   Some hard tough wood.   All my saws ran pretty good that day.
Would not mind finding another one of those 445.

I wonder if one of those would port like a 372? It would turn a lot of heads at gtg or races.

I would bet yes and has oem bigger carb to start.

Just not many cylinder to play with and mess up with trial and error. They were only on the Partner 710 and Poulan 445.

Yeah that would be the problem. I'd like to see the timing numbers of the cylinder as is.

The Partner/Poulans of cut4fun's that I ran were all super good saws as they were.

Mike I should have a 3rd pp445 p+c with crankcase parts saw coming soon.

Looking at the piston above it sure reminds me of the 371 or 372 pre epa 1 ring piston. Betting it might be. Being they were built in the husqvarna plant.

The cranks look just like a 371 crankshaft with coarse threads.  Lot of 2 series parts used on them too.

I'd like to see how close to a 372 the jug is. Might be a better version
