Saving apic of another poulan pro 445.  This one from KY. Guy was looking for a complete recoil set up after busting his up.

Told him I could help him out or just buy this  complete NOS starter I knew about for $70 shipped.

Owner of the 445 said one of the helpers dropped a hay bale on the saw.

Bad pic but get the idea.

He had to make a homemade clutch cover using a husky cover too. His 445 came with a plastic cover.

Happy camper.  Poulan 445 with 475 recoil and clutch cover I sent him. Back to cuttin.

Owner Said = Started second pull and been months since it has been down.

Was pulling clutch covers out for a few folks and came across a super nice poulan 445 cover.  Totally forgot about having it.   :P

Talking about 475 at first.

Bob Morrison. Because the thing melted pistons and cylinders without it. I was involved in the development of that saw.

me.  No problems here unlimited. The pto side bearing and seal seem to be the weak link IMO. If you notice they went to updated ones in 505 445 425

Bob Morrison The 445 was the best of the bunch.

me  445 even though a green coil is unlimited too. Love that saw. best in series IMO.

Bob Morrison The original-style air filter on the 415 and 475 didn't work. Took me about two years to convince the Swedes of that.

Trying to bring in another 445 for the parts. Says cylinder is nice. But crank bearings feel rough. 

Has a 505 recoil cover on it.  No clutch cover. No clutch. Just the clutch inner hub still on crank.
