Poulan 5200 4200
« on: October 16, 2011, 09:04:08 pm »
How hard is it to find 5200 cyl and piston?

What other 85cc top ends interchange?

What other smaller cc top ends interchange?

Thanks for any info. Just thinking about one that needs a lot of work.

I know where ONE is N.O.S.
 They are made of unobtanium.
All the 85cc cylinders are the same in the Poulans.
The pistons are different but the cylinders are the same.

Kevin, I'm far from expert on these, but, I'm pretty sure the 69cc(4200), 77cc(4900), and 85cc(5200) top ends will swap from one to the other. Just like the 3400/3700/4000 will, on that series. Trouble is, about the only way to find them is on a decent used parts saw.  I have often wished that one of the companys that produces after market P/C kits, would make some for some older saws too. But doubt they would sell enough to make that profitable.

Gregg,

I stumbled on a 5200 needing piston and with flaking cylinder, no carb, muffler, PHO with spark. No nothing else about it, but cant get the guy to price it.  ::)

Is a 5200 poulan top end the same as a 133 dolmar?

Forgot to show this poulan 4200  3400 2300 a guy offered me for $150.  Again I passed as not my series.

4200 ran but floods.
