Hi everyone new to this group.
I have an issue. my chainsaw has spark, nothing wrong with ripcord. piston is free. all clean . changed oil and gas. oil port is clear to chain. filters clear. yet it was running at high revs and then just stopped and after doing all that it still will not start. i have pulled plug and wire and checked for spark. pull fuel down spark plug port direct fuel and still wont even try after that. i see air bubble going down the gas line and no start.
help please. this is about a yr old
when I had it running relatively at high revs chain and bar off to clear out chain oil port and yes cleared it first with a fine wire. but at high revs and it just quite and never started again.

Thanks everyone for the comments. my question? Would it not still fire no matter what if i poured a little fuel down the spark plug port and put plug back in. then the port has fuel right at the spark but it did not.

Common on these is the fuel line to rot and break. Dump mix and look in tank. See if fuel filter still attached to fuel line.

Just had one in like this.

Also check the other lines. 2 of his 3 were in pieces.

Other things to check. Car nuts loosen up. Snug them back down. Under air filter inside the air filter base.

Yes i actually checked all that. had all gas drained and checked inside to make sure. i only just pulled this out of the box. it ran great last week when i dropped 11 trees and brush clean up. today it ran with one pull and then had to pull chain to clear oil port and reved it up and got the oil rolling and she shut down on me like it ran out of gas at high rev. now diaphragm maybe i do not know

You have pulled the muffler and peeked at front of piston and rings?  They come lean from factory.  IMO set to burn up.

Redneck tool or a spline for carb adjustments.
