Aaron, thanks for the explanation.

So the bar stud size variances also depend on when the particular model was made, not just which model.  No wonder finding the correct bar mount can get somewhat complicated.  I've read numerous explanations over at AS,  maybe it's time to put together a chart.  I'm pretty sure that I've downloaded a Poulan bar chart,  but haven't spent a lot of time studying it.
