Told him to leave it whole so maybe a collector can get and fix it up.

That's good.  Seems that guys are parting out everything on ebay lately....

He does that too.

Do you have a link to his listings?

Lot of his BIN is ridiculous high IMO  http://www.ebay.com/sch/wvsawsalvage/m.html?_nkw=&_armrs=1&_ipg=&_from=

Yep now I'm familiar with him.  I agree.  The SP-125 comes to mind.  Saw that one last week.

I was 'watching' those two saws until they started climbing over $100.

It's up.  Keep in mind what you're buying (cases and some other spares).  P/C may be shot.  Bearings are probably shot (common 6203 C3 bearings).  If things don't go crazy in the auction you may get what you need for your saw plus some spares.  I won't be bidding against you.

Forgot about this, I figured a bath it would of been indeed.  Thanks to jockeyduece, the cases have new bearings & seals also, for not much more than the entry fee & shipping on the concrete saw.  Will be interesting to see what happens.  At least I won't be the bad guy know if someone really wants a 8510

8510 doesn't make a good choice for 69/8500 crankcases. The bar pad is beveled off so the belt won't rub. I don't remember if the oil pump mounting holes and oil line to bar pad are machined on this crankcase - I don't think that they are. The 8510 is basically a 5400 with a modified crankcase, special harder piston rings, a diecast 5400 cylinder shield with a big hole cut in it for the air cleaner system, and a different air filter system.
