I was just looking and it does not appear that they have an external impulse connection but use a internal.

I didnt look into that. 

Guess we need to know  what saw he is fiddling with. 

Think I will quit looking for info till I know what saw. 
2800 thru 3300 that series

Then these

49 Venturi 12.7mm
164 Venturi 16.66mm
137 Venturi 16.61mm
77  Venturi 15.80mm

2800 -365 use small carb small intake OEM . Big easily put in place of both.
