hmmmm, so what yer saying is the bigger boot would be a better choice ifins somebody wanted to open up the cyniler a bit. might have to see if i can get me one of thems 8)
The small boots are NLA.  I'm pretty sure the big boots are available which is a better choice anyway.  You will need the bigger intake bracket to go with it.
The big boot fits all the gas tank/handles I've tried 2800,3000,3300.  It doesn't need any grinding or modifying.  It is a perfect tight fit.

I'm eager to see if you're able to get the larger boot from Jacks (or elsewhere).  Early this year, I ordered a boot for my PP330 through Baileys (who apparently uses drop shippers for the Poulan parts they sell).  After six weeks or so....................they canceled the boot from my order (stating it was no longer available)... ???

it could be. it doesn't say anything about being on a back order. of course, when i ordered the bearings and seals for the next 2800 i'm working on, it didn't say anything until i checked out that the bearings are on back order. just waiting on that order before i place another one.

I just contacted a guy and ask if he has poulan 330 intake boots in hand and in stock. He said yes.

Boots are usually close to $10 and some change new plus shipping.  This guy gets a premium price with shipping included $17.

Who knows but I bought one of those boots about a month or maybe two months ago and they are good.
