well, ordered a boot up. found a bigger carb and also the retainer. once it all gets here imma going to see what kind of improvments/detractions just the bigger intake stuff makes on a 2800. :)

I was wondering if there could be any difference noticed too. So let us know please.

I was thinking of doing the swap on my PP365 but never did.

Doesn't the 365 have an HDA49 on it?  Mine does.  The HDA134 and the 164 are considerably larger 164 being the largest.  Probably be worth it IMO.
I think I did one of mine but haven't run it yet.

I just rebuilt the carb on my 365 and you are correct.    I compared it to a 164 I have here and there is a big difference in size between the 49 and 164.   It would have to make a difference on the 365 saw.

Cant wait to see someone run their saw with the bigger boots and carb, that has to make a difference!

That pic looks like a rubber intake box from a motorcycle. Its kind of a small pic though.

I was reading about a craftsman 3.3 for sale.  RUBBER BOOT HAS BEEN REPAIRED WITH SILICON , SEEMS TO BE HOLDING   WELL.  :-X  Wonder if it was a ripped fix patch.  :o

The small poulan intake boot is NLA oem but there is aftermarket ones in the works. ;)  2700 2800 3000 305 335 3300 3.0 2.8 3.7 3500 365  etc
