Poulan green is 532130939, code 475 or 476. Husqvarna Jonsered Ashokan Turf and Timber 3144 New York 28, Shokan, NY 12481

 845-657-6395

They don't have a website

Thanks so much, but these are also original part and color numbers provided by Poulan or Husky right?

So there is no official or independent code like the  "RAL" classification system ?

Just trying to save some info before it gets buried and really lost.

Part number for the Poulan green paint is 532130939 so why isnt every poulan green saw the same dang green then. There is pea green like on some older ones and then the brighter green like on the 3300 etc.

Quote from: rms61moparman link=topic=3356.msg37762#msg37762
There were several different colors through the years.
There is also, always a minor deviation from one paint batch to the next even from the same supplier.
You know how it goes. One day you feel good and the convicts all like you, the next day someone pisses you off before you leave home and everyone thinks you are a butthead.
Same for the paint mixing guy.
Then there are the Poulan engineers.
They get a few complaints from customers about fading and they add a pinch of something here or a dash of something else there.

Even the 1970 Mopar SubLime is just a few shades darker than the 1971 Limelight.
Some aftermarket suppliers are even selling the 1971 Limelight and calling it 1970 SubLime, but it just is NOT!!!
Even todays computer aided blending isn't always exact because some paints are quite different when wet than they are dry.

Thats what I was thinking Mike. My wording was just bad. Thanks. Batches never come out the same,

Also I was hoping someone would bring up the fact that there is 2 different paint codes for the green ;) they both follow that single number though with different 3 digit codes.  I figure early and then later superseded. That right there gives you 2 shades of green itself. Then the different batches from both give you even more shades of green from the 2 colors.

Any other info to share?

How about a  match for that different green on the 4900 top cover. Will help Gary out when he paints a cover.

ImNotASwede  might of accidentally found a rattle can color real close to the 4900 cover as pointed out by Gary.

 Krylon ivy leaf

Somebody say 4900?8)
-Aaron

For older saws:
Tune the H side so that it 4-strokes (burbles) at WOT unloaded and just cleans up when under load.
When you lift cutting load, the saw should immediately revert to 4-stroking.  Fine tune the transition point for the wood you're cutting.

Nice Aaron.  Never seen a 4900 in person.   The saw looks good.

Thanks Roger.  One of my favorite saws.  Big time torque for 77cc.  Traded a nice Homelite 1050A to HomeliteJim for it.  Both of us are happy with the trade.:D

I wish my 5200 was that nice.  Some day...

I ran a 4900 or other series number of that 77cc saw at the poulan gtg and they have great torque in the cut.

Aaron.  Just thought of something. Since you have a 4900 with the right top cover.   Buy a $4 rattle can of that Ivy Leaf and spray something to see how close it is.
If I bought it and sprayed it I have nothing like a 4900 top cover to compare too, just other green poulans.

I can do that.  I need to pick up a few different colors to check against saws for upcoming repaint jobs....
