NLA Poulan Parts 2700-3600 3450-3750 PP330-380 Crank Seals etc
« on: December 03, 2014, 12:50:15 pm »
Saving a post Aaron made.    I'll check on the 3000-365-3750 seals but pretty sure they all got thrown in the trash when removed.

Eccentric

I'm having zero luck finding the 8500 clutch parts I need. They're now NLA. A TON of Poulan parts (for the 4200-8500 series, the XXV series, the 3400-4000 series, and even the relatively recent 3450/3750/PP330/PP380 series have been going NLA over the last few months. Same with many of the Husqvarna 200-series saw parts. Looks like HVA/Poulan is 'cleaning house'.....

Looks like I'll have to make the parts I need. For the three clutch washers........I can most likely drill 4200/5200 parts that I have (from parts saws) for the larger crank snout diameter. I'm SOL on the clutch bearing inner race however (because the ID and OD are larger than the 4200-5400 parts).

Would somebody who has a 6900/7700/8500 please measure your saws inner race for me so I can replicate it? May be able to luck out and find a match from some other saw. At the least, I can have somebody machine a race from tubing. I mostly need the OD and length measurements. Can figure out ID from the crank snout diameter. Thanks in advance.......

On the subject of recently NLA parts, it'd be helpful for many if we can figure out an industry equivalent for the 2700-3600/3450-3750/PP330-380/PP365/etc saw crank seals. They're "back ordered" from Poulan, with no expected date of availability (same for the both the smaller and larger intake boots BTW).

I only have one of those saws here right now (belongs to somebody else), and I'm not going to pull those seals to make accurate measurements of the housing bores, shaft diameters, and such needed to find a match unless I have a set of replacement seals in hand to replace them with. Would somebody please make those measurements so we can find industry matches? That would help many folks in the future.

Aside from the 'clamshell' Poulans, just about all the crank seals for Poulan saws are now NLA. Thankfully, folks have found industry equivalents for most of them. We've gotta do the same thing with that last "pro" Poulan series.....

Here are some seal #'s that have already been found by various folks:

-Poulan Micro series 530019059. Back ordered from Poulan, with no ETA. These JUST went back-ordered. They were in stock as of last month. IF you can get them from your dealer/parts source (my Husky dealer had 4 in stock last year....I grabbed them all), they're till cheapest to get these right from your Husky/Poulan parts source. IF that's not an option, then.........you can use SKF 4913.

-Poulan XXV Series:

Both sides 530019051. Back ordered last spring. Just checked again and there are a few available. I'll be grabbing those shortly.... SKF/CR 5510 is a match, as is National/Timken 313156.

-Poulan 3400-4000 and PP375-395 Series:

Both sides 530019097. NLA. SKF 6119. National/Timken 253747.

-Poulan 4200-8500 Series:

Both sides 530019075. Back ordered with no ETA. SKF 6904. National 471466.

Poulan 306/245:

FW side 530019042. Back ordered with no ETA. CR 5542 or 5541.

PTO Side 530001936. NLA. Dichtomatik 068091VM (dist by Rankin Industries).

Oil Pump body seal 530019035. Back ordered with no ETA. Dichtomatik 06081SM.

Hey that looks familiar....8)

It's getting BAD.  I've been looking more Poulan parts up on Ordertree.  MANY parts that were still available are now NLA, or back ordered with no date of availability.  Grim....

Kevin do you have any 2800-3600/3450-3750/etc cranks and cases to measure?  Case bore diameter, case depth, and shaft diameter are what we need to find matching seals.

For this saw series, 530019146 is the Poulan #.

None apart to measure.   Hoping I threw a old seal in a bin.

Aaron I have a brand new set of seals for that series of saws.   They are in town and if you can wait I will pick them up and research out a generic replacement for them.   I am going into town on Saturday and will get them then.  I also have about 10 saws that use those seals and can measure one of them also.

Good for you.  It is just a matter of time those seals will get used.   They were used on a lot of different models.
I would say Poulan understood the meaning of standardization.

Thats why I had to have them. Have 2900 3.0 3500 365 3450 on hand of the top of my head  and some  project stage ones.  Plus dads 3300 he bought new and friends own my old 3750 335 etc. So having parts on hand is nice if they are going to go NLA on us.  :'(

I tried to order 10 and said no go, then 9 8 7 6 5 all with no go  :-X.  Put in 4 and bingo order took. Felt like a kid in a candy store.

Was it ordertree?  Last week when I tried they didn't have any available.  Entered 10 and it showed that 10 would be backordered.  Don't need 10....................but that's what I do to see how many they actually have in stock.  MANY Poulan and Husky parts come up in a search....................but show zero being available when I try adding them to my cart......

PLEASE measure those seals when ya get 'em.  If anybody has some cases and cranks to measure we'd appreciate those measurements too.
