Ok here we go.
The first picture is of the all rubber metric seal.   I think it is a winner and I was going to air leak check the crank case but do not have my block off plates here.

Second picture is the all rubber metric seal installed.   I lubed it up real good with some 2 cycle oil and it went in easy peasy.

The third picture is the SKF 5966 seal.   You can see how much wider it is.

The fourth picture is the SKF 5966 after I cut it down to fit.    I could have taken off a little less in the width and I think it still would have worked, but still plan on installing this on the flywheel side.

How did you cut the bigger seal down?  Also let us know if the rubber one passes the leak test.   Good info.

Can you show me a pic of the inside part of the rubber seal, part facing in toward crankcase?

Thanks for all you guys do finding this stuff.

I do not have a pic of the inside of that seal before I installed it.
The other seal I cut with my foredom flex shaft and a small cut off wheel.

Great work Roger.  The 380 I'm working on has an air leak, so I'll be picking up seals for it soon.

For older saws:
Tune the H side so that it 4-strokes (burbles) at WOT unloaded and just cleans up when under load.
When you lift cutting load, the saw should immediately revert to 4-stroking.  Fine tune the transition point for the wood you're cutting.

Also.......are you guys using the 530031115 oil pump drive worm puller?  I need to remember to order one of those too.

Yes bottom right in pic.   It also works on some jonsered 490 gears and other saws.  490 there was 2 different gears used. Coarse and fine.

Yes Aaron I used the gear puller like the one Kevin is showing.

Kevin there was no part number when I got it.  I just put 15x35x5 on eBay and it came up $3.14 plus the shipping.

What do they consider low pressure?  Wonder what a chainsaw crankcase pressure is running wot cutting?
