Aaron if you cannot find anything else then give me the number for the one that is too wide at .276.
There is a chance that part of the metal for the width can be ground off a little to make it fit.  Install it with a little Yamabond and it should work.

7mm = .275. So the 7mm width is about the same as the other one you found.

Hiya Roger,

Here's a quick search I did on feebay for "15mm 35mm oil seal".  Most that came up were too wide, but there was one listing for a 6mm wide double lip seal as well as a listing for a 5mm wide single lip.  5mm is within your allowable measurement of .220".

The Timken # for the SAE measurement seal (single lip) that was too wide is 153507XX.  Just noticed that it's notated as a metric seal (in the SAE seal list)........................and is in fact the same part number as the metric seal that I'd also found (in another list).

Now................................both the Ebay seals and the Timken seal that I found are the type with the rubber extending over the seal body.  don't know for sure whether or not those can be trimmed without issue (if needed).  I haven't used this type of seal in a saw before.  Others have without problems however.

I did also find a Timken 471558 seal.  It is an SAE seal that matches our shaft and bore measurements.  It is .312" wide, but is a 'regular' metal bodied single lip seal that could be trimmed.

Still have to check the CR/SKF and Dichtomec (sp?) lists for these measurements.  Gotta let my brain and eyeballs cool a bit before going through more charts however....

OK checked one more thing before calling it a night.  Checked the Timken 471558 number in the SKF cross-ref thingee.  Came up with 5966.  It's  a metal bodied, .313" wide double lip nitrile seal.  Hmmm.....

I received the seals today and I am going to install tomorrow.   The rubber coated all metric seal looks very promising.   I was holding it next to the original and it looks like a match to me.    The rubber coating should also provide a good sealing surface also.   I will take some pics tomorrow and let you guys know.

Don't overlook the double lip - single lip seal differences and applications.
