I hope the rtv you used is resistant to gas.   Some of it is not.

In the old days 60 yrs ago they would have probably used "Indian Head" Shellac.

But being in charge of a shellac production for a few years at the GE plant where I worked. It was made from shellac flakes, rosin, and denatured ethyl alcohol.

So guess what, gasohol will desolve Indian Head Shellac

My neighbor works on Mercedes.  He gave me this to use:  http://www.needswings.com/Mercedes-Engine-Sealant-RTV-003989982010.aspx

He said that it should hold fine, but time will tell.

I did pocket watch repair for about 35 years and the roller jewel is held in place with a small flake of shellac that is heated up and melted into place.

It looks like pretty good sealer, it probably will be fine.

Have any of you guys tried the ms200t tank vent kit for any of these saws. Have really no experience with poulan put just thought it could work. Will post a pic of the pieces.

The black nipple is .327 on the big end. The brass looking piece is to drive it in to the tank.

That tank vent is similar to what Echo uses.
