Poulan plastic tank

Poulan plastic tank seal repair.

Tank I was getting ready to ship. I like to plug them off and check for leaks.
There was a hair of seepage in the corner.  Not a leak as drips, just seepage making it moist over time if you know what I am trying to say.
So I went ahead and used the sealall tank sealant inside and out on that area.  I usually do the outside but was able to get to the inside corner too.
Going to let dry and test again after it gets set.
If you look how they are put together they are to pieces of plastic melted together by heat.

I always allow 24hrs before I check it after applying. Have used it on metal gas tanks etc in past years.

Seal-All
Seal-All is the adhesive mechanics and hobbyists trust for all their automotive and garage repairs. It adheres with superior strength to most substrates and resists gasoline, oil, paint thinner and most solvents.

• Fast dry time – set in 2-3 minutes
• E-Z flow formula
• Gas & oil resistant
• Waterproof – bond remains secure even when exposed to water
• Abrasion resistant
• Temperature resistant – remains tough even in extreme temperatures

Fixed the last area that showed seepage in web area in front. Checked today and all good.

Now for a tank vent duckbill valve and brass cover by new owner and she will be ready to install on new owners 3750 Bad Boy saw. His green tank got smashed by a tree.

3.3 type 2 tank. Pulled and stripped bare.

This is the later type 2 ones with tank vent on side and only 1 line for fuel out top. 1997.

This one also excepts the big intakes like used on 330 380 3750 3450 without modifications to tank hole.

Setting with mix testing.

Day 2  I figured it would pass setting over night. It did no mix leaked.
