That would be interesting.   I never even thought of trying it.

Should be same set up in the predator 335 you have.

Except in a nice small tight package.

I'm lost.

Its the same thing. Not understanding?

2700 3.0 are all same size as the pred 335 etc powerhead wise. pred 335 has 3450 330 piston in the 335 cylinder. So same size still.  So no big changes. Heck factory done it, so no big deal IMO me wanting to throw a 3450 p in 335 c on on same size saw JMO.  ???

I was thinking 3450 cylinder and a 3450 size saw compared to a 335.   The 335 because of the air filter and cylinder cover design is smaller.   My misunderstanding.

I thought we had switched tracks somewhere. Thats why I was asking.

I am just using the extra 3450 piston out of the 3450 when I put the 60cc 3750 topend on 3450.  Then make one of the 46cc-49cc a 54cc predator type motor using 3450 p and 335 c.

If I was going to try the other I would put the 60cc on one. But with the 3500 365 around. I just dont see the use of doing that on a 2700-3300 saws.
I still think all it would take is slotting and maybe crankcase open some for p skirt clearance.

Just putting the poulan predator 335 stuff in this thread.  Hoggwood found one for sale up in Canada too. Will post pics. he said over by Tim aka fossil. ;)

I got the 335 Predator back together and took it for a quick check.   Saw runs good and I think I will stay with the 3/8, 16", .050 bar and chain on it.    I did the usual muffler mod, dropped the cylinder, advanced the timing, widened the intake and exhaust.    I put a new ring in it and cleaned up all the carbon from the piston and cylinder.    After running it and letting it cool down I got a 200 psi out of it so once again I am very pleased about that.   I like building these to add torque not neccessarily RPM.    Since cut4fun put up the before pictures I will provide the after pictures.

The one hoggwood found and FS.

That's a very sharp looking variant of this series.  I like it a lot (OK I'm partial to red/black saws, especially when they're Poulans). 8)

Man my bench was a mess when I took that.  Need to take some fresh pics of the saws so I can stop using the messy bench pics.....

That is pretty cool Hoggwood.   I have not seen many of the predators around.   Nice find.

Hey Aaron I think the red and black is good looking on a saw also.
