I'll check the PP236 sometime. I also have a good running 2100 I use.
I have one too and I find if I leave fuel in it the fuel cap swells and is very hard to remove.  Handy little saw though!

Wow that's very interesting.  I've never seen a Micro series saw with two thin piston rings.  Seen many different Micro variants with a chromed piston (and bare bore) and two thick rings.  Also seen a few Micro variants (such as my PP236 which has the same piston as a PP235 or 2350) with a chromed bore, bare piston, and one thick ring.

This saw here is a new one on me.  Haven't seen that piston illustrated in the IPL's either (although the # for it may be there........as there are multiple part #'s in the 200/205/225/235 IPL).  Have you measured the bore diameter?

For older saws:
Tune the H side so that it 4-strokes (burbles) at WOT unloaded and just cleans up when under load.
When you lift cutting load, the saw should immediately revert to 4-stroking.  Fine tune the transition point for the wood you're cutting.

No i have not dont have a micrometer yet...i put it back together 3 different good carbs still dont run right...i've had enough for today.... i may put all my micro parts up for sale on the bay so i don't keep trying to fix them LOL.....I had a poulan pro 225 early on that had 2 rings it ran very well and had super compression... thays why i thought this was a pp225....It for sure has me stumped,,,i think both saws i was tinkering with need new rings and seals....

LOL im such a rookie.... so once i walked away cam back to put my tools up ... decided to try it again this time with my glasses on see gas spray under the inlet on the yellow one guess i split it doing all the carbs.... fixed that it now fire up and seems to run....think im still done for the day.....now to dig for parts to make a whole saw... maybe the red one has a similar problem i may replace the whole fuel line even though it was done when i got it..... funny how something so simple can cause you to take so much stuff apart.... dam eyes....

Only reason I keep my pile around is dad is still running my bought new 2000 from 1994. Other wise I need av for my hands. Looking at dads hands he should too, but he refuses to give up the little micro I gave him to use instead of that pos mini mac 110 or 130 he bought new.
