you would think there would be a replacement out there that would work.....im gonna order the spurs and email mowers for you see if they have any knowledge....if not may have to buy from the bay thanks for looking....swear i have 2 or 3 of those old style clutches in a tin some where in some bin

I looked yesterday. Extras not much. 1 spur drum with half wear but usable IMO. I wouldnt waste time on it shipping. Also 1 bearing. 1 old style clutch with weird wear on 1 shoe, again wouldnt bother with it.
 
The 2 runners have the nicer complete set ups I have.  Both run but 1 needs carb rebuilt. I just switch the good carb between them when tested.   Trade both saws for?  or sell the 2 complete set ups or trade for?

I'm curious about all the ring mixing and matching you guys do, and the plated/unplated cylinders.  Working on bikes, rings for plated cylinders are very different from rings for bikes with plated cylinders, and mixing them up ruins the bore.  With all the Poulan/Craftsman variants that may share bore sizes but not bore type, are you ever concerned about the wrong rings?  Or have you found it to be a non-issue?

Wow that's very interesting.  I've never seen a Micro series saw with two thin piston rings.  Seen many different Micro variants with a chromed piston (and bare bore) and two thick rings.  Also seen a few Micro variants (such as my PP236 which has the same piston as a PP235 or 2350) with a chromed bore, bare piston, and one thick ring. 

This saw here is a new one on me.  Haven't seen that piston illustrated in the IPL's either (although the # for it may be there........as there are multiple part #'s in the 200/205/225/235 IPL).  Have you measured the bore diameter?

Guy posted a thread yesterday in CRG and here last night of his poulan pro 225 and it had thin rings.
