Poulan pro 236
« on: April 27, 2011, 05:51:00 pm »
Just picked up the Poulan Pro 236 yellow version  :D. Mainly for my back up parts, but will see if I can make it a running trim saw first.

Looks just like my poulan 2100 in that thread. I bet it will be a runner when said and done.

Had to dump a little of what appeared to be WATER out of the tank and letting things dry up. Maybe it was ethanol gas that had separated?

Dragging up an ancient thread.  Was wondering if your PP236 had a chromed bore and bare piston.  Most Micro series saws have a plated piston and a 'naked' bore........................but some of the PP saws (such as the PP260) have chromed bores and bare pistons unlike their 'pedestrian' Poulan counterparts.  Was wondering if this was true with your saw.  I like the 2100/2400 rear handle Micro variants, and wish Poulan had done the same with their XXV series.

I'll check the PP236 sometime. I also have a good running 2100 I use.

I'll grab some pics and info in the next week or so.

From what I have seen if it is yellow it should have a chrome cylinder.   I noticed the Antivibe springs also.
PP 505, 475, 445.

Roger that is true for the most part.  A few yellow Poulan Pro versions of the WT family saws have chromed pistons and bare bores however.  PP220 and PP262 come to mind.
