That sounds like a man with experience.

That would have worked a little better. Just got the saw back together 2 turns out on the high needle a good starting point? I won't be able to get to some wood till my hand heals a little.

I usually go 1.5 out to 1.25 depending on saw.  Usually to fat and will know quickly.

Some of the clamshell ones 2 2.5 starting points.

You talking top left?  I dont worry about about that spongy stuff if missing. Many have been missing in my saws over the years.

Just to helps cut down sound, NOT a pre-filter like you said.

Okay I got the saw back together yesterday and started at 1 1/2 turns and it wouldn't four stoke so I'm out to about 2 1/2 with no four stroking the saw cut awesome on 1 1/2 but I don't want it to be to lean. Do I need to rebuild the carb?

If you have run it enough now. Whats the plug looking like?

I cant call what your doing or hearing so cant say.  Me I would make SURE choke was all the way off not on half  ;) (that gives you a good 4 stroke sound dont it)  ;)
Then I would turn till the saw 4 strokes barely and clears up in the cut. I would want to hear it clearing up in the cut and cutting sound like mad hornet.
