Sorry I made a mistake earlier.   The cylinder on the left is a 3450 and the one on the right is a 330.

I have a cylinder in the garage right now that is off of a 3300 and it is dual port transfers.

So now that I think about it the PP 330 must be the chrome cylinder version of a 3300.  That actually make more sense to me.

Per Mastermind the one on the LEFT came off a Poulan 330. The one on the RIGHT  came off a craftsman version of 3300. Thats what he posted and all I am going by.
The one on the LEFT reminds me of the 330 cylinder I had off way back.

I have a 3450 here that I am going to tear down and do some minor modifications to.   I will post some pictures of the cylinder when I do.   You know I have to figure this out now.

My 2 330 and 3450 are running perfect so I dont want to tear them down.

I want to open my 415 up too ( but wont it is running perfect too) because I swear it was the same as the 475 505 transfers. But the part number shows the same as my 425 that has quads.  ???  I'm just wandering if the 415 cyl was just updated or my memory just forgot it was quads too.

Look in the exhaust port?

That works on the  closed port 5000 v/s the open port 500 and 5000 with square v/s round edges.  I dont know on these if you can see enough or not.

Look in the exhaust port?

I do not know why I don't think of these things sometimes.   Good Idea.

Ok so I pulled the muffler off of my 3450 and off of my 330 and I can see the top of the transfers with no problems at all.    Both the 3450 and the 330 are identical and are quad port transfers.   I also know the 3450 54cc version is a chrome cylinder because, I have done the acid treatment on one I replaced a piston in.  So I guess Mark is correct that both saws are identical except one green one yellow.

It is odd that when I looked up the part numbers they are different for the cylinders and pistons.
Thanks Roger.

Pulled one of my like new poulan pro 330 off the shelf today. Pulled the epa carb stops, put on a 20" 3/8 b+c.

Filled it up full of mix and noticed a leak. hmmmmmm  Looked over normal spots and went on to test in wood.  Kept noticing it would leak between crankcase and side of tank area in middle.
Being this saw is as new as can be I figured tank vent had went bad setting  ???. Well that is not the case at all the dang thing fell out somewhere.  :o
