Might have been a previous owner... ..or this one might have changed his mind about running waste oil...

Tank is pretty dang clean too.
Nothing black and coated inside tank like one I worked on for a guy that I had come using used oil.

Who knows dont matter  now anyways.  I just figure it had something to do with the bad crank seal under oiler.

Nope hand guard. Some of the 3750 I had had green brake handle brake band clutch covers.

Look for 330 380 in yellow and 3750 for green ones.  I have a yellow one here.   Some 365 too in yellow.

Well today I had a bit of time before getting ready for Eldora Kings Royal sprint car races tonight. Thank you son  ;D

Anyhow when last put away bad pto seal and oil pump.

Started there and inspected the crank bearing. Didnt like the up down movement I seen or appeared to be seeing in the outer race part in the bearing pocket of case.

So then I checked the tank for the gas leak. Off comes the tank and the typical duckbill valve and brass breather deal missing.

Then I thought hmmm what about the topend. Looking through ports looked new.  Pulled top and she was new. Got a little laugh too.

Tried to clean crud off top off piston to show why.

Glad I caught that the linkage was broken off on the other 3450 tank before installing it on another saw too.

So I guess the piston was backwards.

Pulled the piston off the donor 3450 and zing there went the circlip. Thought to myself. This is how it is going to be today I bet.  :P

Checking the 3450 crankcase I thought was ready on shelf. Guessed wrong. I seen the oiler seal was torn. So I pulled it and it was packed full of oily fines. Thinking something could have gotten to crank seal. I decided to check the seals for leaks.

Did my redneck seal check. pto seal was good but leaking behind the flywheel seal.
So pulled flywheel. After having to soak it with pb blaster several times.

Pulled flywheel and did my redneck seal test to show you how again when no cylinder is on and you can do a pressure test.
