Dumped the mix that was in it. Put my KL200 Klotz Original in it at 32:1.  Pulled the red and blue limiters. Set carb to a basic setting.  Popped first pull and then    8)

Going to replace what looks like original fuel line showing shrinkage going through tank and replace the original looking impulse line. Just for precautionary sake.

She ran real good just testing.   ;D

First one of these I had come in with the mesh filter instead of the flocked ones.

Just got a nice 330 380 crankcase in. See why they gave up on it out west.

The worm gear has been smashed all the way around trying to removed it with pliers guessing. Even see dents in the seal where they tried to pry remove etc.
I tried even with better judgement knew better tried to force the oem puller on enough to pull it. All that did was break part of the first thread off my puller.

Used puller on a 3450 gear to make sure I didnt ruin it and it was still good to go.

Now to see if I can cut this smashed gear enough to remove. Any other ideas?

Received the poulan 330 crankcase someone wrote off. I see why now. They smashed the heck out of the worm gear trying to get it off and messed up the pto seal. Otherwise like new.
I tried to force my oem worm puller onto the smashed worm gear and I knew it was a mistake. But had to try. All that did was pull part of the first thread off the puller. I finally decided to go with the dremel and ready for new worm gear and seal.
Used my puller on another saw to make sure I didnt ruin it. Still works. Good worm gear on LEFT the smashed one on 330 on RIGHT.

Dremel used on the ruined one. OEM puller on RIGHT for other one.

Some guys shouldn't even be aloud to run a saw let alone work on one!

Yep it does make you wonder sometimes how they get by without cutting their legs off.

Got my trouble child back in order again. I have a love hate relationship with this 330 last year the carb rebuild, chain brake which broke right away then the bar oiler gear. Then the center of the recoil broke away from the fan housing. Sourced a new green fan housing which is the right Poulan color anyway. How I love to run this saw and it screams though over my old 3400 which is just cumbersome but awesome and my little Stihl 026.
